Pushing the boundaries of parametric design:
SOGA’s game-changing approach
Parametric design is a design method that uses mathematical formulas and algorithms to create intricate, adaptable, and customizable designs based on parameters such as shape, size, texture, and material. It enables designers to make changes and modifications to a design based on different factors like cost and material a vailability, resulting in highly adaptable designs tailored to specific needs. Parametric design can add value to a property by creating visually stunning and functional interior spaces, optimizing construction time and costs, and
tailoring the design to the occupant’s needs.
Parametric design is not a new concept and has been applied in different areas like engineering, product design, and architecture for many years. Nevertheless, with the progress of technology, it has become more accessible and increasingly adopted in the interior design industry. Currently, it is gaining more attention and popularity in the field, and credit goes to the skilled duo Sonali Jaiswal and Gajender Kumar Sharma of SOGA Design Studio.
SOGA Design Studio, located in Gurugram, India, offers innovative and artistic parametric design solutions, incorporating futuristic approaches and the latest technologies. “Dheer” – a hanging installation at Anardana
The art installation “Dheer” at Anardana embodies the calm and cooperative spirit of the team towards guests. Comprising 1000 brass shape utensils “Lota,” it symbolizes unity and the craving for liberty. Like the soothing ambiance and refreshing food, it allows guests to enjoy joyous moments with ease, reflecting the basic human necessities of food and water. The sculpture takes us back to an earlier civilization when “Lota” was a prominent source for water consumption, establishing an earthy connection with the place.
Anardana Project, GurugramThe reception table, called CONCH, takes inspiration from the auspicious form of Shankh, representing the shape and form of shells found in nature. It creates a positive aura and a unique design style. Our team worked closely with the client’s vision to create a luxurious and dynamic piece that captivates the viewer.
